Chinese plantain (lat.Plantago depressa) is a plant from family Plantagoceae. Dried ripe seeds of this plant are used
in TCM.

Sweet, cold by nature. Returns to the liver, kidney, lung and small intestine meridians.
Value in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Reducing heat, inducing urination, stopping diarrhea by seepage of dampness, improving eyesight and eliminatig phlegm.
It is used in treating stangury, gonorrhea, edema and distension, diarrhea caused by summer heat, redness and swelling of the eyes, cough caused by pathogenic heat.
