Crowdipper (lat. Pinellia ternata) is a plant from family Araceae. The dried rhizome of the plant is used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Taste, Characteristic, and Meridian
Pungent, warm by nature. Returns to the spleen, stomach and lung meridians.
Value in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Dries dampness and resolves phlegm, subdues nausea and vomiting, eliminates lumps and stagnation in meridians.
It is used in treating damp phlegm and cold phlegm, cough with excessive phlegm, phlegm,
dizziness and palpitation caused by phlegm, phlegm-conduced headache, vomiting and regurgitation, constipation in the chest and abdomen, plum-pit qi (a feeling of a lump in the
throat, or of stagnant phlegm). It’s also used for external treatment of abscesses and phlegm
lumps.
