Cyathula root (lat. Cyathula officinalis) is a plant from family Amaranthaceae. The dried root of the plant is used in TCM.
Taste, Characteristic, and Meridian
Sweet, slightly bitter, neutral in nature.
Returns to the liver and kidney meridians.
Value in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Removes blood stasis and stimulates menstruation, smoothes joint movement, induces diuresis.
It is used in treating amenorrhea, detention of the afterbirth, traumatic injuries, rheumatic
pains, spasms of feet muscles, hematuria, stranguria complicated with hematuria, etc.
